PVC profile earns its place in the wet parts of a building. A bathroom door in wood will swell, warp and eventually need replacing; the same door in PVC will not. We build in Kaka and Polywood board, two brands whose sheets hold their shape and colour, and the sample you are shown is the board that gets cut.

Questions
What we get asked about PVC.
Does PVC yellow in sunlight?
Cheap profile does. The Kaka and Polywood board we use is UV-stabilised and holds its colour, which is why we stay with those two rather than whoever is cheapest that month.
Will a PVC door take a normal lock?
Yes. We fit stainless hinges and a standard mortice or cylinder lock, so keys and handles are the ordinary kind you can replace anywhere.
Can PVC panelling go over an existing damp wall?
It can, and it will look fine — but it hides the damp rather than fixing it. If the wall is wet we will say so before quoting.
Is it only for bathrooms?
No. Kitchens, wardrobes, ceilings, feature walls, shop interiors and utility doors are all common. It is simply at its best where water is.
